UB's Commitment to Disability Access
The University at Buffalo has a strong commitment to ensuring our academic and campus facilities and programs are accessible to all students, regardless of disability. Every UB student has a right - and UB faculty and staff have a responsibility to protect these rights - to full and equal educational opportunity.
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits UB from discriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability.
Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 requires nondiscrimination in all programs, services, and activities of state and local government for qualified individuals with disabilities.
UB strives to provide equal and easy access to individuals with disabilities. A new UB web site provides details on the University's principles, and the procedures and expectations UB has of its faculty and staff - in protecting the rights of our students with disabilities.
